Fence in Westport Pop-Up Club
Fence in Westport is a weekly pop-up club held at the VFW and led by a professional coach & career athlete. Classes build skills, confidence, and a love of fencing in a fun and supportive environment.
Beginners, to intermediates, to advanced and competitors are all welcome. Join us for flexible programming, expert coaching and growth, right here in Westport.


Knightlings
Ages 4-8 Schedule: Wed & Fri, 5:15- 6:00 PM
Knightlings introduces young fencers to the basics through fun, structured, and age-appropriate instruction. Students build coordination, footwork, listening skills, and confidence in a safe, positive class environment.
Current Class Offerings

Beginner
Ages 8+ Schedule: Mon & Fri, 6:00- 7:00 PM
Beginner Fencing introduces new students to the fundamentals of the sport in a clear, supportive class setting. Fencers learn basic footwork, blade work, safety, rules, and strategy while building confidence on the strip.

Intermediate
Ages 10+ Schedule: Mon & Fri, 6:00- 7:30 PM
Intermediate Fencing is for students who have learned the basics and are ready for more focused training. Fencers build technique, timing, distance control, movement, and bouting skills in a structured class setting.

Competitive/ Advanced Training
Ages 12+ Schedule: Wed 6:00- 8:00 PM & Sat, 4:00- 6:00 PM
Competitive Fencing is for athletes ready for a more serious training environment. Fencers focus on advanced technique, tactics, conditioning, bouting, and competition preparation.

Open Bouting
Ages 10+ Schedule: Mon & Fri, 6:00- 7:30 PM
Open Fencing gives fencers time to practice, bout, and apply what they’ve learned in class. It’s a great option for students looking to build experience, confidence, and comfort on the strip.

Private Lessons

Available by Appointment
Private Lessons offer one-on-one coaching tailored to each fencer’s goals. Students receive individualized instruction to refine technique, build confidence, and support continued progress.
